07/09/08, Sestriere, Italy. James Dabill as usual, put all behind at Sestiere. It was an undisputed win: his score put him, even this time, one step above all Italian riders. We want to stress, just in case somebody forgot it, that the British, belonging the Future Trial Team, has already won the title in the “International” class from the previous round at Guardiagrele and now is going to establish a new probably matchless record: 8 wins out of 8 results. At the moment he reached the seventh’s. In the brawl behind him, Daniele Maurino beat Fabio Lenzi and Matteo Grattarola in the final sprint, nevertheless with half competition gone, it was the young Matteo, smoothly ahead of the two title’s fighting. Now the gap in the overall standing is still in favor of Fabio, but reduced to 4 points. Everything will be decided in the final round scheduled in the first week of October. The event was very well organized, using the two-laps, 15 sections-formula. Sections were quite slippery, due to the heavy rain dropped on Saturday. Simone Staltari won the Senior class.

Una vittoria incontrastata, con un punteggio che lo pone, anche in questa prova, uno scalino al di sopra di tutti i nostri piloti. L’inglese, del team Future Trial Team, ricordiamo, se a qualcuno fosse sfuggito, ha conquistato il titolo di campione nella categoria Internazionali gia’ dalla gara precedente di Guardiagrele e si appresta a stabilire un record difficilmente eguagliabile: 8 vittorie in 8 gara. Per ora ha centrato la settima. Nella bagarre alle sue spalle, Daniele Maurino batte in volata Fabio Lenzi e Matteo Grattarola, dopo che a meta’ gara, era proprio il giovane Matteo ad essere in leggero vantaggio nei confronti dei pretendenti al titolo. Ora la differenza punti gioca sempre a favore del bresciano, ma sono solo 4 i punti che lo separano dal piemontese, quindi tutto si decidera’ ad inizio di ottobre nella prova conclusiva. Gara molto bene organizzata sulla formula dei due giri-15 zone, stile mondiale, con zone rese piu’ viscide dalla pioggia caduta abbondantemente al sabato. Simone Staltari vince la Senior.
