14/04/11-SPEA FIM World Championship: the Italian round. Press release n. 2

Everything is going to plan in the organization of the Italian world round at Montecrestese, in North Piedmont. On Sunday 20th of March, there was the homologation of the course and the paddock done by the FIM, represented by new Director of CTR (Trial Committee) David Willoughby and by Italian member inside that Committee, Giulio Mauri, who, being Trial chairman in Italian Federation, played this role, too.
Waiting for them, in addition to Moto club’s staff as president Adolfo Cotone, sections’ responsible Walter Baiardi, translator Sara Cotone and clerk of the course Danilo Galeazzi, also the major of Montecrestese, Angelo Tanferani and the chairman of Tourism office, Renato Punchia.
The test was successfully stood. Paddock for riders - separated in A and B - was perfect as well as the two huge facilities ready to be put up for refreshing the spectators. Two big tends with inside benches and tables normally used for the Grande Sagra della Patata (means Big potato festival) , a famous event able to catch thousands people every year in August.
Then the team focused their attention on the sections: a first group placed in localita’ Viganale, followed by the ones’ in Masera village, close to a typical local restaurant, belonging to a member of the organizer club, Massimo Sartoretti, who treated all of them to lunch.
Having achieved an important appreciation for what done until now, all the members of the club, called “Domo 70”, will go on in this way. Riders and spectators won’t be disappointed. The appointment is for Saturday 9th of July, to watch the fifth round of the European Championship and the day after the fifth round of the SPEA FIM World Championship.

14/04/11-CAMPIONATO MONDIALE 2011 SPEA FIM. Comunicato stampa n. 2.

Tutto procede per il meglio nell’organizzazione della prova mondiale italiana in quel di Montecrestese, nell’alto Piemonte. Domenica 20 marzo c’e’ stata l’omologazione del percorso e aree attinenti da parte della FIM, rappresentata dal neo direttore della CTR (Commissione Trial) David Willoughby e dal rappresentante italiano in seno a tale commissione, Giulio Mauri, anche in veste di responsabile Trial della nostra Federazione.
Ad attenderli, oltre al personale del moto club, Adolfo Cotone, presidente, Walter Baiardi, tracciatore delle zone controllate, Sara Cotone, preziosa traduttrice, Danilo Galeazzi, direttore di gara, anche il sindaco di Montecrestese, Angelo Tanferani ed il presidente della Pro-loco Renato Punchia.
Promosse a pieni voti la zona paddock per i piloti, separata fra A e B, le aree attrezzate per ospitare i camper degli spettatori e le due gigantesche strutture che verranno montate per il rifocillamento. Due tendoni con all’interno panche e tavoli gia’ ampiamente collaudati per la Grande Sagra della Patata, un famoso evento che attira migliaia di persone ogni anno ad agosto.
L’attenzione si e’ poi spostata sulle zone: un primo gruppo nella localita’ Viganale, quindi quelle nel comune di Masera, vicine al tipico ristorante ossolano “Divin Porcello”, il cui proprietario Massimo Sartoretti, anch’egli socio del moto club, ha colto l’occasione per offrire al gruppo il pranzo.
Ottenuto dunque un primo riconoscimento che il lavoro svolto fino ad ora e’ piu’ che valido, i soci del “ Domo ‘70”, continuano nella loro opera. Piloti e spettatori non rimarranno delusi. Appuntamento fra 3 mesi, sabato 9 luglio per la quinta prova del Campionato Europeo e domenica 10 luglio per la quinta del Campionato del Mondo SPEA FIM.

13/01/11-SPEA FIM World Championship: the Italian round.

The 2011 Grand Prix of Italy has been assigned to one of the oldest Italian club, among the first to work on Trials, the Domo ’70 from Domodossola. It will take place on the 9th and 10th of July.
The club was born in 1970, founded by Luigi Facchinetti and Giuliano Marini. The latter is known for having been one of the pioneers in Italian Trials. In 1972 he won the Interregional Championship, predecessor of the Italian Championship, which started 3 years later.
Because the particular morphology of its venue, close to Pennine Alps, in these forty years of work, Domo '70 cranked out champions and collected titles in every classes. Among the most blazoned names, here are Danilo Galeazzi and Donato Miglio. In lately years, belonging to Italian team and son of the club chairman Adolfo, Luca Cotone represents the star pf thr club nowadays. He is the former champion in the Italian class TR2.
But the tradition of growing up champions is not the only one flagship on which organizers could count, bacause every year they set up important competitions. On International field, they hosted a round of the European Youth Cup and Women Championship in 2008.
The main town of this time event is Montecrestese. The Start and the Paddock will be at Localita’ Pontetto, inside the town soccer pitch. Some sections will be into Isorno river, others in Masera town, localita' Cresta, then other 2 groups at Localita' Viganale and localita' Chiesa.
On Saturday it will be held the fifth round of the European Championship on the same loop.

13/01/11-Mondiale SPEA FIM: la prova italiana.

Toccherà ad uno dei più vecchi moto club italiani, uno dei primissimi ad occuparsi di trial, il Domo ’70 di Domodossola, organizzare il gran premio d’Italia 2011, nei giorni 9 e 10 luglio.
Il club e’ nato nel 1970, fondato da Luigi Facchinetti e Giuliano Marini, quest’ultimo conosciuto come uno dei pionieri del Trial italiano, vincitore nel 1972 del campionato Interregionale, precursore del vero e proprio campionato italiano, nato poi nel 1975.
In questi quarant’anni di attività, il Domo’70, grazie alla particolare morfologia della sua collocazione, a ridosso delle Alpi Pennine, ha sfornato campioni ed incamerato titoli nazionali in tutte le categorie. Tra i nomi più blasonati Danilo Galeazzi e Donato Miglio. In tempi più recenti, il pilota azzurro Luca Cotone, figlio del presidente Adolfo, rappresenta l’attuale stella del club, tricolore nella categoria TR2.
Ma la tradizione di allevare campioni non e’ l’unico fiore all’occhiello su sui potrà contare il club organizzatore, impegnato ogni anno nell’allestire gare titolate di primo piano. In campo internazionale ha ospitato una prova di Campionato Europeo nel 2008.
Il comune dove si svolgerà la manifestazione e’ Montecrestese, con partenza e zona Paddock in Localita’ Pontetto all’interno del campo sportivo comunale. Il tracciato sarà; articolato con prove nel fiume Isorno, altre nel Comune di Masera, località Cresta, quindi ancora 2 gruppi a località Viganale e località Chiesa.
Al sabato e’ prevista la quinta prova del Campionato Europeo, sullo stesso percorso.
