06/02/11-SPEA FIM X-TRIAL ,Barcelona: Toni Bou!
Barcelona in the mark of Toni Bou. This year the world indoor changed name in favour of X-Trial, but very soon it will be necessary call it, Bou-Trial!
This third success was runaway. Often in these short indoor competitions, the winner is the one who made less mistakes, who can keep high his concentration, doing his best in these decisive moments. Not in this time.
Bou did not made any mistakes, simply. In three sections, he was the only one able to reach the end. He won everything. First in the qualification phase, first in the semi-final, first in final. Beside, he gained the dual lane challenges, too.
The difference with his rivals is that he always trusts in the feasibility of the section. At this level, above all in the final phase, the hazards verge on the impossible, so it is quite normal after watching all other riders to fall, wondering if it is really feasible or not. Not for him. Last to enter, thanks to his good performances in the earlier phases, he always tried, even when his lead is so large that he could not risk. This night, he climbed the big basins of the last section, even if already and mathematically winner, accepting the risk of crashing, for sure higher in X-trial comps.
To his rivals only the second place seems open to fight for. Cabestany beat Raga and in fourth came Fajardo. Spanish quartet in final and in a Spanish arena! Out in semi-final Challoner and Fujinami, while before them Dabill and Brown stopped in the qualifications’.
Next round at Geneve, Saturday the 12th.
