Toni Bou, Repsol Montesa, was the ice on the cake at the first Italian Indoor Championship round. Neverthess his victory was taken for granted his presence delighted the crowded Morbegno's arena. Matteo Grattarola, Gas Gas placing behind him, gained the first 20 points for the Italian series.
In good shape Spanish Pere Borrellas , Gas Gas, the other foreign rider invited, who climbed the podium ahead of Fabio Lenzi, Beta, and Daniele Maurino, Ossa, the top fives who entered the final phase.
