16/12/13 - ISLANDTRIALTEAM Montesa 4RT

The ISLANDTRIALTEAM, the only team trials in Sardinia shows the world an elaboration of Montesa trial 4rt (as well as could be the next in the series) made ??entirely in Italy, by Italians and all the special parts manufactured in Italy. All this comes from a great passion for the Montesa 4RT and the presence of some sponsors who have made this possible.

The main changes to the bike are listed below.

Long-stroke 300cc engine with electronic reduction of the engine brake(AEFFE Racing).

The airbox to the place of the fuel tank (which now holds 2.4 liters) and vice versa. Both are made in carbon as the intake manifold for the external small electric pump and filter to save 500 grams of weight. All this stuff are made by D.D.M. Yrial Special Parts.

Freeding the front of the motorcycle from the weight of the tank and the petrol, now moved down to the center of the bike, there is more grip due to the weight on the rear and more lighting and handling on front wheel.

The wheel rims are in ergal (waiting for those ones in carbon) with titanium radius mounted external to improve the directionality. Anodized billet hubs in Ergal, that allow to save still 1,7 kg of weight(DDM).

Air mono shock absorber without spring made by FOX, modified and adapted by DDM (top secret the features). It weighs 530 grams instead of 1,700 grams of the original.

Complete replacement of the frame and engine bolts and pins with ones made of Ergal and titanium, that means to save weight for other 2 kg.

Termignoni silencer in carbon and titanium intake manifold.

Final weight of the bike at the moment ( expected to drop a few kg more): 67.6 kg

L'ISLANDTRIALTEAM, unico team di trial presente in Sardegna mostra al mondo del trial una elaborazione della Montesa 4rt ( cosi come potrebbe essere la prossima di serie) fatta interamente in Italia, da Italiani e con tutte le parti speciali prodotte in Italia. Tutto questo nasce da una grande passione per la Montesa 4RT e dalla presenza di alcuni sponsor che hanno reso possibile questa operazione.

Le principali modifiche alla moto sono elencate qui sotto.

Motore di 300cc corsa lunga con riduzione freno motore elettronicamente. ( AEFFE Racing)

La cassa filtro al posto del serbatoio benzina (che ora tiene 2.4 litri) e viceversa. Entrambi sono realizzati in carbonio, come lo e' il condotto di aspirazione alla pompa elettrica piccola esterna e relativo filtro, con un risparmio sul peso di 500 grammi.Tutto preparato dalla D.D.M. Trial Special Parts.

Liberando la parte anteriore della moto dal peso del serbatoio e della benzina, ora spostato in basso al centro della moto, si ottiene una maggiore aderenza al posteriore e piu' maneggevolezza e leggerezza sull'anteriore.

I cerchi sono in Ergal (in attesa di quelli in carbonio) con i raggi in titanio montati esterni per una maggiore direzionalita. Mozzi in Ergal lavorati dal pieno, tutto anodizzato, per risparmio di peso dalle ruote originali di 1,7 kg.(D.D.M.)

Monoammortizatore ad aria senza molla della FOX, modificato ed adattato da D.D.M. su specifiche segrete. Pesa 530 grammi contro i 1700 grammi dell'originale.

Sostituzione integrale della bulloneria telaio e motore e perni vari con Ergal e titanio, con risparmio di peso di altri 2 kg.

Silenziatore Termignoni in carbonio e colletore in titanio.
