A CONTEST to find new trialist?

Since the measures taken so far by the International Federation together with the Factories seem not enough to stem the progressive collapse of our discipline, and being too keen to assist helpless in this slow fade of a sport that unfortunately just did not find its rightful place , we made ourself promoters of an initiative to search for new blood .

At the double competition of the European Championship scheduled for July 18 and 19 coming in Luserna San Giovanni , in the province of Turin , we held a contest for all children of primary and secondary schools of the neighboring communities to the home of the race . An ambitious project to " enter " in schools . We managed - and it was noy easy - to publicize the initiative in 5 comprehensive istitutes for a total of 26 schools , that means almost 1000 children . The theme is : " The Trial is ... " . You may submit a drawing , a poem , some thoughts . To all participants were promised a gadget , we've decided to be a 30-minute DVD entitled " Why not to try Trials ? " . Also the best works will be awarded . Three prizes for the two categories : primary and secondary schools .

The DVD is designed for those who do not know or just know a little Trials. The aim is to dispel the myths which let people far from approaching our discipline, and namely:

1- it is not a sport , what phisical exercise do you do? It is the bike that takes you ... ;

2- you can not go anywhere , there are prohibitions everywhere , where I could practice ?;

3- I am too old to start ... ;

4- it is a sport for men , not made for the weaker sex ;

5- it is dangerous , the bike is always dangerous , so better to stay away ;

6- it costs a lot of money , bike , clothing ... ;

7- I have nor trailer , neither a van , how could then transport my bike ?

Now, since the adhesions are quite poor at this moment, in order not to have few participants, we decided to remove the restriction to only the kids of this area and extend the context to everybody in all Europe (the DVD, however, is only in Italian ...).

But do not force your son or daughter to do so, if you are reading this site you are certainly fans, we do not want “children art”. Please do your part,too. Talk about this to the parents of the friends of your son / daughter.

Obviously, this is just the first step: to create a kind of CURIOSITY '.

If after this, there won't be the opportunity to try Trials, all this work would have been for nothing. Then all the Factories should intervene organizing possible tests. In this area, we are in agreement with the Italian Federation for a SAT (School Start Trial) in a w / e in September / October, so any potential new incomer will be able to try in a reasonable time.

Un CONCORSO per trovare nuovi trialisti?

Dopo che le misure finora intraprese dalla Federazione Internazionale insieme alle Case sembrano non sufficienti ad arginare il progressivo tracollo della nostra specialità, essendo troppo appassionati per assistere inermi a questo spegnersi lento di uno sport che riteniamo solo sfortunatamente non abbia trovato la sua giusta collocazione, ci siamo fatti noi promotori di un'iniziativa atta a ricercare nuova linfa.

In occasione della doppia prova di campionato europeo in programma il 18 e 19 luglio prossimi a Luserna San Giovanni , in provincia di Torino, abbiamo indetto un concorso per tutti i bambini delle scuole elementari e medie dei comuni limitrofi a quello sede della gara. Un progetto ambizioso quello di “entrare” nelle scuole. Siamo riusciti non con poca fatica a pubblicizzare l'iniziativa in ben 5 Istituti Comprensivi per un totale di 26 scuole, dunque un parco bambini di circa 1000 unità. Il tema del concorso è: “Il Trial è...”. Si può presentare un disegno, un componimento, dei pensieri. A tutti i partecipanti è stato promesso un gadget, che abbiamo deciso essere un DVD di 30 minuti dal titolo “ Perchè non provare il Trial?”. Inoltre le migliori opere consegnate saranno oggetto di premiazione. Tre premi per le due categorie: scuole elementari e scuole medie.

Il DVD è stato studiato per chi poco conosce il Trial. Lo scopo è sfatare i miti per i quali la gente diffida nell'avvicinarsi alla nostra specialità e precisamente:

1- non è uno sport, che fatica si fa? E' la moto che ti porta...;

2- non si può andare da nessuna parte, ci sono divieti dappertutto, dove lo pratico?;

3- non ho più l'età , fossi un po' più giovane...;

4- è uno sport da maschi, non è fatto per il gentil sesso;

5- è pericoloso, la moto è da sempre pericolosa, quindi meglio starne alla larga;

6- costa un mucchio di soldi, tra moto ed abbigliamento...;

7- non ho il carrello , né un furgone, come farei poi a spostarmi?

Ora siccome le adesioni stanno latitando, forse arriverebbero tutte in “zona Cesarini” (per quelli del calcio) , ma per non rischiare di avere pochi partecipanti, abbiamo deciso di cancellare la restrizione a solo i ragazzi di questa zona ed estendere il concorso a tutt'Italia e, perchè no, a tutta Europa (il DVD è però solo in lingua italiana...).

Ma non costringete vostro figlio o figlia a farlo, se leggete questo sito siete di sicuro appassionati, non vogliamo figli d'arte. Fate anche voi la vostra parte, ditelo ai genitori degli amici di vostro figlio/a.

Ovvio che questo è un primo passo: quello di creare la CURIOSITA'.

Non servirà a nulla se dopo non ci sarà la possibilità di provare a fare Trial, quindi dovranno intervenire le Case per mettere a disposizione delle moto di prova. Per questa zona, stiamo concordando con la Federazione Italiana una SAT (Scuola di Avviamento Trial) in un w/e del mese di settembre/ottobre, quindi gli eventuali interessati potranno quasi subito cimentarsi.
