08/06/25 - BOU, GREEN AND SKELTON THE BEST IN SAN MARINO DAY2

Toni Bou (Montesa) and Gabriel Marcelli (Montesa) share the victories and the runner-up places on the second day of San Marino - the fifth round of the 2025 FIM Hertz Trial World Championship - inside the Baldasserona motocross track in Borgo Maggiore.

A success for Montesa in the premier class that contrasts with the Scorpa victories in the two minor classes by Billy Green (Trial2) and Harison Skelton (Trial3).

Small significant changes with shortening of sections - which were too long yesterday - for this second day of racing. Still sunny and summery temperatures.

On the first lap Bou starts very strong but a five in the penultimate section paves the way for his teammate Marcelli. Twelve to nine scores. Third the usual Jaime Busto (Gas Gas) with 15 penalties ahead of a combative Matteo Grattarola (Beta) at 18.

Super Toni in the second round closed at 7, less than half of Marcelli (15) capable of beating Busto by just one point. All the others are further behind with Aniol Gelabert (TRRS) who manages to get the better of Grattarola by 2 points (30 to 32).

The leader of the Trial2 championship Harry Hemigway (Beta), very annoyed to see his advantage reduced by his rival Miquel Gelabert (Honda) yesterday, immediately re-establishes order in the first race: he wins with a peremptory lap at “1”. Second Gelabert with 3 points, ahead of Green with the same score.

Disaster for Harry in the second lap, he runs into three “5”s and finishes in 13th place. Gelabert takes advantage of this once again on the podium, beaten by Harry's brother, George Hemingway and the winner Green.

Excellent fifth place for Francesco Titli (TRRS) in this second lap, seventh in the calculation of the two days. Also Carloalberto Rabino (Beta) took points in 12th place.

Harry is still in the lead in the championship but only with a 5-point advantage over Gelabert.

Confirmation of the leadership in race 1 for Ryon Land (Sherco) who, despite starting badly with a five in the first section, slowly recovers, going on to win with 13 total points and only one over Fabio Mazzola (TRRS), in the lead until the penultimate zone!

Third Skelton, who performs a masterpiece in race 2: 10 total points but faster than Jin Kuroyama (Sherco) also at 10 with identical numbers of zeros, ones, etc. Third Jonas Jorgensen (Beta) ahead of Alessandro Amè (Beta). For Land a fifth place ahead of Mazzola, with the American who however increases his advantage over Jorgensen in the championship.

After a short break the world championship will cross the Atlantic to land in Exceter in the state of Rhode Island, USA on July 12th and 13th.

BOU,GREEN E SKELTON I MIGLIORI AL SECONDO GIORNO DI SAN MARINO

Toni Bou (Montesa) e Gabriel Marcelli (Montesa) si dividono le vittorie e le piazze d'onore nel secondo giorno di San Marino - quinto appuntamento del Campionato Mondiale Trial FIM Hertz 2025 – all'interno del crossdromo di Baldasserona a Borgo Maggiore.

Un successo targato Montesa nella classe regina che si contrappone alle vittorie Scorpa nelle due classi minori per opera di Billy Green (Trial2) e Harison Skelton (Trial3).

Piccole significative modifiche con accorciamenti di zone - risultate troppo lunghe ieri - per questa seconda giornata di gare, Ancora sole e temperature estive.

Nel primo giro Bou parte molto forte ma un cinque alla penultima zona spiana la strada al compagno di squadra Marcelli. Dodici a nove i punteggi. Terzo il solito Jaime Busto (Gas Gas) con 15 penalità davanti a un combattivo Matteo Grattarola (Beta) a quota 18.

Super Toni nel secondo giro chiuso a 7, meno della metà di Marcelli (15) capace a battere Busto di un solo punto. Più staccati tutti gli altri con Aniol Gelabert (TRRS) che riesce ad avere ragione di Grattarola per 2 punti (30 a 32).

Il leader del campionato Trial2 Harry Hemigway (Beta), molto seccato del vedere ridotto il suo vantaggio dall'antagonista Miquel Gelabert (Honda) ieri, ristabilisce subito l'ordine nella prima gara : la vince con un perentorio giro a “1”. Secondo Gelabert con 3 punti, davanti a Green con identico punteggio.

Disastro per Harry nella seconda tornata, incappa in tre “5” e chiude al 13-esimo posto. Ne approfitta Gelabert ancora sul podio, battuto dal fratello di Harry, George Hemingway e dal vincitore Green.

Ottimo quinto posto per Francesco Titli (TRRS) in questa seconda tornata, settimo nel calcolo dei due giorni. A punti anche per Carloalberto Rabino (Beta) al 12-esimo posto.

In campionato Harry è ancora al comando ma solo più con 5 punti di vantaggio su Gelabert.

Conferma della leadership in gara1 per Ryon Land (Sherco) che, pur partendo male con un cinque alla prima zona, recupera piano piano, andando a vincere con 13 punti totali e solo uno su Fabio Mazzola (TRRS) , in testa fino alla penultima zona!

Terzo Skelton, che compie un capolavoro in gara2: 10 punti totali ma più veloce di Jin Kuroyama (Sherco) anch'egli a 10 con identici numeri di zeri, uno, ecc. Terzo Jonas Jorgensen (Beta) davanti ad Alessandro Amè (Beta). Per Land un quinto posto davanti a Mazzola, con l'americano che comunque incrementa il suo vantaggio su Jorgensen nel campionato.

Dopo una piccola pausa il mondiale attraverserà l'Atlantico per approdare a Exceter nello stato di Rhode Island, USA il 12 e 13 luglio.
